About us

Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation, and systems integration. Our Engineering & Manufacturing division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, and designs and constructs mechanical automation plant & equipment for multiple different industries, such as timber, food, mining, construction, amongst others using state of the art modern technology and machinery.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Working in a large Steel Manufacturing and Engineering factory you will need to have demonstrated previous ISO:9001 experience within a manufacturing environment with Quality Assurance/Control as the focus.

As the QA leader you are responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of day-to-day operation of the manufacturing ISO:9001 quality systems in order to comply with the company’s quality policies, legislative requirements and customer requirements for ongoing quality accreditation. You will bring previously learned experience from a similar industry, and with this, continue to make your mark, growing and improving our quality outcomes. You should be able to work closely with upper management as well as our workshop floor staff. Be able to both firmly and clearly communicate your QA objectives and nurture a QA based culture.

  

Attributes and Experience:

Certificate, diploma or degree in quality assurance or a related discipline
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QA Role in a manufacturing environment
Ability to make quick and correct decisions “on the job”
Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement continual improvement and long-term preventive actions 
High attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
Ability to communicate with customers
Ability to organise and lead both internal and external meetings and audits
Excellent time management skills 
Sound ability to use computers, including the suite of Microsoft office packages
Have an on-going continual improvement-based mindset
Experience within the Steel Manufacturing industry, including CNC and heavy fabrication, industrial painting areas an advantage
Demonstrated Project Management Experience or qualifications also an advantage
