As a result of our ongoing growth and success, Crossmuller is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Somersby on the NSW Central Coast.

Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
· Factory automation design for plant upgrades, optimisation and new projects, including:
o Layout drawings for project proposal, planning and execution.
o Calculations to analyse throughput and performance.
· Project management of automation projects, including:
o Procurement of materials and parts.
o Coordination with our Somersby based workshop personnel for successful build and testing
o Time on site liaising with our in house installation and commissioning teams
o Coordination with customers and other stakeholders for successful and timely project completion
· Design and detailing of machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software.
About You:
Qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering (or similar).
Diploma Mechanical Engineering with proven experience is also considered
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and be proactive.
Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet targets.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently either independently or as part of a team.
Hold a current driver’s licence
Attributes and Experience:
· Experience in project delivery. Projects for manufacturing clients/operations is favourable.
o Manufacturing plant operations/maintenance is also considered
o Experience with robotic automation applications is favourable
· Ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles in a design context, including assisting development of junior personnel.
· Experience in 2D or 3D CAD drafting, including ability to produce manufacturing drawings
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
