Apprentice Mechanical Fitter

Location:  Somersby – NSW Central Coast

 

Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team at Somersby.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn on the job in our state-of-the-art workshop. You will learn how to fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment and machinery used across multiple industries.

To be successful in this role you need to be dedicated and strive to improve your knowledge and performance every day. You need to have an interest in mechanical systems and possess a problem-solving mindset.

Our successful Apprentice will have:

Completed year 10 at school
Strong mathematical and basic mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail and quality
Strong written and oral communication skills
A positive approach to workplace safety
An ability to work as part of a team
Reliable transportation to Somersby
Commitment to a 4-year apprenticeship including TAFE studies
