Apprentice Sheetmetal Worker

Location:  Somersby – NSW Central Coast

 

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Light Fabrication)

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Apprentice Sheetmetal Worker to join our Engineering team at Somersby.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn on the job in our state-of-the-art workshop.  Our Sheetmetal Workers are responsible for the fabrication of sheetmetal and light structural components. You will learn how to weld and operate a combination of modern CNC and manual equipment to produce your work.

To be successful in this role you need to be dedicated and strive to improve your knowledge and performance each and every day. Applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest for the industry and possess a passion for machinery.

Our successful Apprentice will have:

Completed year 10 at school
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and quality
Strong written and oral communication skills
A positive approach to workplace safety
An ability to work as part of a team
Reliable transportation to Somersby
Commitment to a 4-year apprenticeship including TAFE studies
