We are currently seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join our Woodchem team located at Oberon in the Central West of NSW.
Based in Oberon, Woodchem produces and distributes a range of products based on formaldehyde, urea, and melamine. The principal products are resins, which are used in the manufacture of Particleboard and Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) for the use in the building and furniture industries.
Woodchem combine chemistry and high production standards to create all resins in-house for decorative board, benchtops, MDF, and particleboard products, ensuring product maintains durability and stability.
The Chemical Process Engineer, Safety and Environment – Woodchem is responsible for providing leadership and technical support to the Woodchem facility and maintain the delivery of the company’s WHS system for the Woodchem site. This role provides a unique opportunity to work within a Major Hazard Facility (MHF).

This position is responsible for assisting management in developing and maintaining a positive and energetic culture, along with ensuring continuous improvement and implementation of new initiatives designed to achieve best practice WHSE compliance.
