Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.
We are currently seeking a qualified CNC Machinist to join our Mechanical Engineering team based at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast. This position involves the use of computer numeric controlled (CNC) machinery, from setup to operation.
We have a fully equipped CNC Machine Shop with machinery including:
DMG MORI NTX 1000 5 axis machine with sub spindle
DMG MORI NLX 2500/700Y QTY 2
DMG MORI NLX 2500/700SY billet loading machine with sub spindle
DOOSAN PUMA 250L slant bed lathe
BEMATO BMT1568 vertical machine centre with 4axis
DMG MORI MILLTAP 700
DMG MORI NVX5100 vertical machine centre with 4axis
FANUC ROBOCUT C800IB
Key responsibilities will include:
Programming on machines and using CAM software
Optimising programmes before passing onto operators
Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Ensuring specifications are maintained by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Documenting actions by completing production and quality logs.
Training of apprentices and operators as required
To be considered for this role you will:
Be a qualified and experienced CNC tradesperson with a minimum 5 years post trade experience
Be competent in manual machining
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possess the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
This is a full-time permanent position within our Engineering team. To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.
As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.
