Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.

We are currently seeking an Automation Business Development Manager to join our Crossmuller team located at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast.

This position will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and supporting the end-to-end sales cycle including pre-sales specification, tenders/quotation and scope management through the delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic business development, including:
    • Securing new clients across various industries
    • Proactively developing marketing strategies for website and social media
    • Managing opportunities with existing customers
    • Maintaining professional engagement and relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Visit clients and analyse client operations and processes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Assist clients with development of improvement concepts, including advising on practicality and commercial feasibility of potential solutions
  • Define Scope of Works for new projects, including key equipment assessment, budgeting and quotation

To be considered for this position you will:

  • Demonstrate relevant experience and successful record as a Business Development Manager
  • Have the ability to build professional and profitable relationships with key stakeholdersHave a working understanding of automation solutions, including mechanical, electrical and control systems (knowledge of robotic systems is an advantage)
  • Have the ability to operate CAD software, including 2D layouts and 3D models (experience with simulation software is an advantage)
  • Have a high level of written and oral communication skills for presentation and negotiation
