The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Graphic Designer to join our Marketing department based at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast in a permanent full-time capacity. From concept and creative development to finished art and print production management, the role is focused on delivering brand impact through the implementation of beautiful, added value graphic design solutions.

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Marketing team and other internal stakeholders to produce high quality digital and print collateral. With a variety of large-scale design projects, this role will suit a Graphic Design expert who is able to meet deadlines as well as manage creative projects from conception to completion.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Have a strong interest in broader communications outputs and feeding into the team strategy, supporting the Marketing team with day to day activities as required
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud in a Windows environment - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Premiere, etc
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Positive and fun personality with an enthusiastic approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail is essential
  • Well developed organisational skills, flexibility and openness to constructive feedback
  • Ability to work under pressure and excellent time management skills
  • Highly motivated and able to get things done with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn what you don’t already know
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
     

 Key Responsibilities

  • Translate information into engaging, user-friendly, accessible communication materials for various audiences
  • Managing design projects from brief to completion
  • Design, layout and production of all graphics used for:

            - Print Media - Brochures, Books, Catalogues, Signage, Packaging, etc
            - Screen Media - Video, EDM, Websites, etc
            - Point of Sale Material
            - Signage creation, vinyl application and installation
            - Internal Documentation

  • Cataloguing of finalised art
  • Print and promotional procurement
  • Liaise with suppliers, key retail and event partners and internal stakeholders
  • Still photography, retouching and video capture
  • Colour management workflow
  • Maintenance and updates of company website and intranet
