This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s overarching marketing strategy in alignment with polytec’s long-term business objectives and growth ambitions. Distinct from brand governance and campaign coordination functions within the team, this role is focused on strategic leadership, market growth, customer engagement, specification expansion and marketing performance.

Reporting to the Head of polytec, you will lead the development of integrated marketing strategies that strengthen polytec’s position as the leading decorative surfaces and interior systems brand across residential and commercial sectors.

You will work closely with sales, product development and executive leadership to drive specification growth, strengthen market influence and elevate customer engagement across architects, designers, builders, developers, cabinetmakers and consumers.

A key focus of the role will be advancing polytec’s positioning as a systems-led interior solutions provider and trusted industry partner, while building measurable brand awareness, lead generation and commercial outcomes across trade and consumer markets.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen, leadership capability and a data-driven approach to marketing performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the overarching marketing strategy aligned with business growth objectives and the 2030 business vision
  • Lead annual marketing planning, budget management and investment prioritisation
  • Drive integrated marketing initiatives that support specification growth and customer engagement
  • Strengthen polytec’s market position as a systems-led interior solutions provider
  • Align marketing strategy with sales, product development and customer experience objectives
  • Provide strategic market insights relating to customer behaviour, industry trends and competitive positioning
  • Oversee integrated campaign planning, go-to-market strategy and marketing performance measurement
  • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team across brand, digital, partnerships and marketing operations
  • Drive consumer engagement, digital growth and lead generation initiatives
  • Support product launches, range expansions and strategic business initiatives
  • Manage agency partnerships and external marketing suppliers
  • Monitor marketing ROI and implement data-driven improvements across all marketing activity

About you

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive marketing leadership experience within building materials, construction, interiors, design or related industries
  • Proven capability developing and executing strategic marketing programs that drive commercial growth
  • Experience successfully evolving and expanding a B2B brand into the consumer market while maintaining strong trade and specification credibility
  • Strong digital marketing and communications experience across multiple platforms and customer touchpoints
  • Strong strategic and commercial leadership capability with experience aligning marketing initiatives to business objectives
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary marketing teams and developing organisational capability
  • Strong understanding of specification-driven industries including architecture, design and construction
  • Expertise in integrated marketing strategy, customer engagement and go-to-market planning
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into actionable business outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, investment decisions and external agency relationships
  • Experience working with emerging marketing technologies and Agentic AI tools will be highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline
