About the Role

The Manager – Assets & Leasing is responsible for optimising the performance, value, and occupancy of the freehold and leasehold property portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. The role oversees end-to-end leasing, tenant management, asset planning, and strategic value-add initiatives to drive income growth, minimise vacancy, and ensure strong tenant relationships.

This position is central to maximising revenue, protecting asset value and driving strategic growth across the portfolio. The Manager – Assets & Leasing plays a pivotal role in ensuring each asset performs at its highest potential while fostering strong tenant relationships and supporting broader organisational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute asset strategies to maximise income, value, and long-term performance.
  • Identify and deliver value-add opportunities such as refurbishments or redevelopment.
  • Manage asset risk, compliance, valuations, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Lead end-to-end leasing activities, including strategy, marketing, inspections, negotiations, and documentation.
  • Manage external partners and monitor market trends to minimise vacancy and retain key tenants.
  • Build strong tenant relationships and oversee onboarding, fit-outs, make-good obligations, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare leasing forecasts, portfolio reviews, and executive reports.
  • Engage with agents, valuers, lawyers, consultants, and authorities as needed.
  • Provide asset insights and leasing assumptions for development feasibility and support due diligence for acquisitions and divestments.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal, commercial, and regulatory requirements. 

 About You

To succeed in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to manage multiple assets, projects, and deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  • 10+ years’ experience in asset management, leasing, or property management from an industrial or commercial background
  • Strong negotiation capability with a proven track record of closing deals
  • Deep understanding of property valuations, market dynamics, rent structures, and occupancy drivers
  • Existing relationships with agents, tenants, valuers, and market participants
  • Tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Commerce, Law, or a related field
