Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation plant for manufacturing plants and warehouses.

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in Mount Gambier.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and detailing of machinery and parts using AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software.
Commissioning Automation wood Manufacturing
Procurement of materials and parts for engineering projects.
Machine construction & testing in Somersby workshop.
Factory automation design for plant upgrades, optimisation and new projects.
Layout drawings for project proposal, planning and execution.
Calculations to analyse throughput and performance.


Attributes and Experience:

Experience in 2D or 3D CAD drafting, including ability to produce manufacturing drawings
Experience in Mechanical design and Automation
Ability to understand and apply mechanical concepts and principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.


About You:

Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering (or similar degrees), Diploma Mechanical Engineering with experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and be proactive.
Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet targets.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently either independently or as part of a team.
Hold a current driver’s licence


This is a full-time permanent position within our Engineering Team. To be successful in this role you must be self-motivated and be willing to put in the work needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Attention to detail and highest quality workmanship are paramount.

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric and drug and alcohol testing.

Rate will be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
