We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated person looking to commence their career within the timber industry. This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you will begin learning from day one.
A Wood Machinist operates a variety of state of the art machinery to cut and shape board and panels for a range of uses such as kitchen doors, wardrobes and benchtops. A Wood Machinist is responsible for adjusting settings on machinery, and maintaining blades and other machine components to ensure that our machinery operates at optimal levels.

To be successful in gaining this apprenticeship, you will have:
- Completed year 10 at school
- Strong problem solving skills
- Attention to detail quality and safety
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
- A Reliable transportation to Somersby
